Passionate about Bitcoin? Want to help drive adoption in the UK and earn some Sats for yourself at the same time? Now, you can.
Most of us, when confronted with something new or different, tend to turn to trusted family members or friends for guidance or advice.
Bitcoin is no different.
For example, you probably remember your own first encounter with Bitcoin. Perhaps you dismissed it as “too complicated” or “irrelevant” to start with. Perhaps you googled it and couldn't work out what on earth it was all about and — for a while at least — gave up on the whole thing.
For many of us, this is a familiar story. Bitcoin is SO different to anything we know that it usually takes several exposures to it before we really start to investigate and understand it. Often it’s a friend or colleague who ultimately makes the difference and helps us take that first step.
And that’s exactly what the Bitcoin Pioneers (BP) community is all about.
We are a nationwide network of individuals from all backgrounds, professions and geographic locations across the UK who have one thing in common — a passion for sharing Bitcoin with people who are just beginning their journey in the space.
Backed by Barry Silbert’s Digital Currency Group, owner of Coindesk, Foundry, Grayscale, Genesis and Luno, each Pioneer is given a stack of Bitcoin to give away in £10 “gifts” to friends, family, work colleagues … or simply anyone you meet who is interested!
Each £10 gift is just that, a gift. There’s no requirement for a new user to invest any of their own money, subscribe to anything or commit to anything down the line. It’s designed to give a new user the confidence to experiment, whether it’s exchanging it into another currency or simply moving it to the savings wallet to gain interest.
It’s a proven way to allow new people to experiment and break down those initial fears we all have when starting off … and it’s been very successful in doing that.
Even better, each BP earns £10 in Bitcoin from Luno for each gift given. There’s no upper limit nor any restrictions on who it goes to, except, of course, that the people who receive it must be 18 or over, UK resident and new to Bitcoin.
With only 2.3million adults in the UK currently owning cryptocurrency (according to the FCA latest cryptocurrency report) there’s still a long way to go. So, we need your help.
We’re looking to expand the Bitcoin Pioneer community across the UK to help more people discover Bitcoin. Anyone who is passionate about the cryptocurrency and has a verified Luno wallet is eligible to apply. There’s a short and informal interview process carried out via Zoom after which you’re usually up and running within 24 hours.
So, if you’d like to earn some Bitcoin while helping spread adoption across the UK and meet other like minded Bitcoiners, we’d love to hear from you. Simply click here for more information, including how to apply.
