What is a token burn?

A token burn sends tokens to an address that no one can access, removing them from circulation for good. The tokens still exist on the ledger but can never be moved again.

Why projects do it

Projects burn tokens to reduce supply or to manage their tokenomics, sometimes on a regular schedule. Reducing supply does not, on its own, guarantee any effect on price.
