What is FOMO?
Fear of Missing Out, or FOMO, is the pressure to act quickly so as not to miss a perceived opportunity. In markets, it often strikes during rapid price rises.
Why it matters
FOMO can lead people to buy without fully considering the risks, sometimes near a peak. Recognising the feeling is a useful step in making calmer, more considered decisions.
