What is a non-custodial wallet?

A non-custodial wallet gives you sole control of your private keys, and therefore direct control of your assets. No third party can move your funds or freeze your access.

The trade-off

The trade-off is full responsibility. If you lose your keys or seed phrase, there is usually no way to recover the funds, so secure backups are essential.
