What is an NFT?

A Non-Fungible Token, or NFT, is a unique digital token recorded on a blockchain that represents ownership of a specific item, such as art, collectibles or in-game assets. Each one is distinct.

How it differs from a coin

Unlike a cryptocurrency, where every unit is interchangeable, no two NFTs are exactly the same. Ownership and history are recorded openly, which is part of what gives NFTs their appeal.
