What is staking?
Staking is the act of locking up crypto to support the operation and security of a Proof of Stake network. In return, participants can earn rewards.
How it works
Staked assets help validators confirm transactions, and dishonest behaviour can be penalised by losing part of the stake. This aligns the interests of participants with the health of the network.
Things to keep in mind
Rewards and terms vary by network, are not guaranteed, and staked funds may be locked for a period during which you cannot move them.
