What is cryptography?
Cryptography is the science of protecting information using mathematical techniques. It lets data be scrambled so only the right party can read it, and lets people prove identity without revealing secrets.
How it is used in crypto
Cryptography secures wallets, signs transactions and links blocks together. Public and private keys, hashing and digital signatures are all cryptographic tools that keep the network trustworthy.
