Gram (GRAM), formerly Toncoin (TON), is the native token of The Open Network (TON), a blockchain closely connected to the Telegram messaging app. It was renamed Gram on 15 June 2026 after a community governance vote. The name is a return to the project's roots, because Gram was the original name proposed when Telegram first announced the network in 2018. The change affects only the name and ticker. Balances, addresses and smart contracts stayed the same, and no swap or migration was needed. GRAM is used to pay network fees, to stake with validators and to take part in governance, and it supports payments and apps inside Telegram.
